Holy Rosary Parish Organizations

ALTAR SOCIETY

The Altar Society meets quarterly on the 4th Mondays in July, October, January and April. Watch the bulletin forspecial meetings or date changes. This group of ladies caters dinners to different organizations, handles funeraldinners and other hospitality matters and is responsible for altar cleaning, hosts, wine, missals, etc.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS

Holy Rosary Chapter of Knights of Columbus meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month. Locally they areco-host to the lenten fish dinners and also the "Cook Shack", which is done monthly at a local parishioners place ofbusiness. They take part in most of the main Knights of Columbus activities, such as the Tootsie Roll Drive, Rosesfor Life, etc.

CHOIR

Holy Rosary has a church choir which performs monthly and at different times of the year..

PTO and SCHOOL COUNCIL

The Parent-Teacher Organization at Holy Rosary is very active and benefits the Pre-K through 8th grade schoolgreatly. They have several large fundraisers throughout the school year to help support the school's mission. Theirmonthly meetings are held the 1 st Thursday of the month. Also in connection with the school is a school councilwhich meets on the 1 st Monday during the school year.

YOUTH

There are several different youth organizations, including Confirmation 3rd Sunday of the month, Religious Ed classes held after Masses on Sunday. Summer months provide many activities for youth. Also "Venture Crew" which is a co-educational group of 14 years and older young adults, developed by the Boy Scouts, to foster and challenge youth in areas of Citizenship, Leadership skills, Service to Others, Outdoor Programs, Personal Fitness and Social Activities. Venture usually meets 3rd Sunday of each month.

LITURGY, ADVISORY/PLANNING & FINANCE COMMITTEES

The Liturgy Committee at Holy Rosary plans the special liturgy and art and environment matters, helping to makeMass a spiritual up-lift for all. The Planning/ Advisory and Finance Committees help the Pastor in the differentdecision-making matters necessary for a parish to run efficiently and smoothly. These are usually called meetings.

RCIA

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a class for anyone interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith orinterested in becoming a Catholic. New classes begin in the fall and are held weekly on Monday evenings.

PARISH ANNUAL TURKEY DINNER

This annual event is held the 1 st Sunday in November. In conjunction with the Turkey Dinner, there is a main raffle,a quilt raffle and also a Country Store. Around 2,000 people are served at this highly popular event.
