Dear Parents of Future Good Shepherd Students,

Currently, we are enrolling students for PreK 3s and PreK 4s through grade 8 classes for the 2006-2007 school year. We invite you to visit us at Good Shepherd Catholic School at any time. Please call to arrange a visit and to gather information about our school (636.797.2300).

Good Shepherd Catholic School operates on an extended school year calendar. This calendar plan offers a shorter summer break, reducing the time necessary for yearly review. The plan also provides time for family-life throughout the academic year, offering three extended academic breaks as well as the typical summer vacation time. To support this innovative calendar year, our entire school facility has been centrally air-conditioned.

Our comprehensive educational program includes the core academic subjects; also education in character, faith, and religion; as well as education in art, music, physical education, and technology. Foreign languages are offered as co-curricular activities, as are scouts and athletics.

Education at Good Shepherd Catholic School includes PreK 3s and PreK 4s classes. Our preschool program encourages developmental readiness for the elementary school classroom experience. Preschool classes operate half days. The 4s meet M, W, F mornings. The 3s meet on T, Th mornings.

Additional features of the education at Good Shepherd Catholic School include before and after school care; daily hot lunches; access to the Sacraments; prayer and Eucharist; service to the community; and a warm sense of family. Our faculty are degreed and certified teachers. We are accredited by and through the Missouri Nonpublic School Association, the National Catholic Education Association, and the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Recently, a science lab, an art room, a school library, and additional classrooms were added to our school building. Parents volunteer extensively within our school and have the opportunity to participate in the Home and School Association and the Parish Education Commission.

Please call us, write us, e-mail us, or stop by to visit us. School brochures and handbooks are available at all times.

We look forward to working with you towards the Gospel-value based education of your children.

Sincerely,

Dr. Sharon Baumgartner, Principal
