Christ is Risen, Alleluia!

Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, he who in his great mercy gave us new birth; a birth unto hope which draws its life from the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead (1 Pt 1:3).

Christ is Risen, Alleluia!

Since you have been raised up in company with Christ, set your heart on what pertains to higher realms where Christ is seated at God's right hand. Be intent on things above rather than on things of earth (Col 3:1-2).

Christ is Risen, Alleluia!

I wish to know Christ and the power flowing from his resurrection; likewise to know how to share in his sufferings by being formed into the pattern of his death. Thus do I hope that I may arrive at resurrection from the dead (Phil 3:10-11).

Christ is Risen, Alleluia!

Continually we carry about in our bodies the dying of Jesus, so that in our bodies the life of Jesus may also be revealed (2 Cor 4:10).

Christ is Risen, Alleluia!

Let us celebrate the feast not with the old yeast, that of corruption and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth (1 Cor 5:8).

Christ is Risen, Alleluia!

Easter Greetings! Easter Blessings! May the Lord make all things new for you as you celebrate his Resurrection: new hope, new enthusiasm, new attitudes, new possibilities, a renewed commitment to our parish and our neighborhood. Happy Easter, my friends!
--Father Benet OFM

GREETINGS FROM OUR ARCHBISHOP:

The Lord is Risen! Alleluia!

Dear Friends in Christ at St. Anthony's,
In speaking to us about Jesus, the Scriptures tell us: "God has raised him on the third day and made him manifest" (Acts 10:40).
Throughout the Lenten season we have concentrated on the death of our Lord on the Cross. And today in churches throughout the Archdiocese and the world with joyful hearts we proclaim that our Savior Jesus Christ is risen from the dead. Alleluia!
The Lord of life has risen in power, bringing with Him love and justice, forgiveness and reconciliation. May the risen Christ strengthen us to live as His people, and to be instruments of His justice and peace to our brothers and sisters.
With the women who first discovered the empty tomb, with Mary and the Apostles, and in union with the whole Church, let us give thanks to God this day because our Savior Jesus Christ has redeemed us by His death and resurrection.
To all of you, a Blessed Easter!
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Most Rev. Justin F. Rigali
Archbishop of St. Louis
