Lectors (Readers)
In addition to our paris priests and deacons, Our Lady of Providence parishioners are invited to share in the ministry of proclaiming
the Word of God to the parish family. They share their time and talent at all daily, Sunday and Holy Day Masses. All men and women with
appropriate skills are encouraged to serve.

Altar Servers
Boys and girls begin sharing their time and talent as early as the fifth grade and are encouraged to continue serving into their high school years.
They assist the priest during every Mass and at other spiritual functions such as Stations of the Cross and Benediction.

Extraordinary Ministers of Communion
Commissioned during a Sunday liturgy in a formal ceremony, these men and women assist in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ at Sunday Mass.
In addition, they assist at the daily Eucharistic celebrations. The ministers also bring the Body of Christ to fellow parishioners who are confined to
their homes. This ministry is a perfect witness of stewardship, sharing one's time and talent. New members are always encouraged to join and orientation
meetings are held periodically.

Eucharistic Adoration
The Archbishop requests that parishes have Eucharistic Adoration to pray for an increase of religious vocations. At Our Lady of Providence we have
adoration every Tuesday in the Providence Room from 8:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Adorers volunteer for half-hour increments once a month
(more if they wish), but all parishioners are welcome to drop in at any time.
